Try guided meditation. It can be hard to sit and do nothing, especially when you're not sure how to direct your thoughts. Check out our website for some free guided meditation for beginners to give you an idea of what meditation is all about.
Set a timer. You don't have to start out meditating for an hour. Even five minutes can give you stress relieving benefits and can help you develop the habit of meditating regularly.
Create a comfortable space for meditation. Find a small area in your house and make it visually pleasing and comfortable. If you enjoy including in your meditation practice, feel free to light a candle to help you initially focus.
